What is going to happen with 2023 Dodge Durango? Well, for a starter, there is going to be some changes and possible light cosmetic update on the way. But from the overall appearance of Durango, you can expect solid and tough premium SUV performance that won’t disappoint you on the road.
What Rumors Say?
Rumor has it that the next Durango may be coming to their original body on frame structure, ditching the unibody construction along the way. In the third generation launch (dated back in 2010), Durango was designed on the unibody construction – while the original and the (first) two generations of the line was using the body on frame for true SUV experience. Well, it seems that Dodge is now thinking about getting back to its original body on frame design again.
In the 2023 model, which may be coming as the fourth generation, the Durango will be produced in FCA Warren Truck manufacturing plant. The construction and production of Durango may go hand in hand with future Jeep Wagoneer. There is clear confirmation when the Durango will officially debut. But if you take in the cue from FCA merger with PSA French group, there are signs about both vehicles being designed
Possible Hybrid Technology
It is possible that there is going to be a hybrid lightweight version offered. If it happens, the hybrid vehicle will be using 48V of alternator starter technology – the same one used in new lightweight Ram 1500 Nm of torque hybrid. The big V8 engine will produce 707 hp of power with 645 Nm of torque. This is the same power that is constructed for Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Design and Look
Style improvements will be implemented for 2023 Dodge Durango. There isn’t clear about what is going to happen on the outside, but the interior cabin will definitely get new technologies. The UConnect FCA Infotainment display screen with 10.1 inch size will be used the first time in Durango. In short, the updates on the interior will match the powerful and solid stance of Durango.
The new technologies will include new improvement on the infotainment system, better customization, and also quicker connection. The updates won’t only be limited to the infotainment and technology, but it will include better layout design too.
Release Date and Price
In terms of price, you have to admit that Durango isn’t exactly the cheap ride. In fact, you should be ready with your own budgets for it. For the upcoming 2023 model, it is likely that the price will start from around $47,000 – or even $51,000.
In terms of release date, Durango should have made its debut during summer, followed by production stage during the third quarter of 2020. If everything goes as scheduled, Durango should be available at dealerships pretty soon. Hopefully, they reach dealerships at the early of 2023. But if the plan is delayed or it is late during the implementation, the 2023 Dodge Durango may be available later – closer to the end of 2023 or even the early 2023.
