So, what’s new about 2023 Chevy Colorado? Well, one thing for sure, the company is planning a new release where improved model is expected. Some of the spy shots have shown the car with a disguised look without compromising the original construction and structure. So, what are the details for the truck?
The Newest Release
According to GM Authority, General Motors has decided to refresh their full-size light-duty pickups line for the 2020 models and the plan extends to g GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. The changes would be significant and obvious because exterior refreshment (along with interior changes) would be included. The refresh work would include obviously a new tailgate – of course with other changes.
Exterior Design and Model
If you see the spy shots images, the truck’s prototype is having a camouflage cover over the fenders, hood, box, and front fascia. On the back, the camouflage is covering tailgate, taillights, and rear fenders.
From the look of it, it seems that new 2023 Chevy Colorado will be coming with new fascia – mostly likely adopting the Bow Tie look worn on new Blazer and Silverado HD. Because of the camouflage cover, it is not easy to see the exact look of the ride, but it is pretty obvious that it will have an LED thin accent along with the DRL (Daytime Running Light) which will sit on the top side of the fascia. And then there will also be a headlight primary element mounted on that part.
For the cab part, it seems that it won’t be changed. But there will be new addition with BedStep integration from the company’s heavy duty lines. Because the tailgate is fully covered, nothing can be achieved from it. But rumor has it that they are offering MultiPro tailgate with Multi-Flex or MultiFlex name. The tailgate will have the same RPO QK2 code. The tailgate itself will experience improvements in functionality – and probably with the extra seventh position.
The Interior Cabin
It seems that the biggest improvements and updates are taking place on the interior cabin – considering that it is the part where the heavily camouflage takes place. GM has probably considered the changes since the critics over 2019 Silverado 1500 (the fourth generation), stating that the cockpit is underwhelming. But there are also rumors stating that the center stack will be revised, but it looks similar to 2023 Suburban and 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe.
We haven’t got any official statement from the company, so we can only guess. But all of these changes have shown that GM is serious about the future of their newest models. They are also serious about the updates for their new lines.
Price and Release Date
There is no exact planning on when the new model will be available. But it is possible that the company will introduce the model in the early 2023 and then launch their new model in spring 2023. For the price, the starting price may begin from $30,100. But with Covid19 and the situation, it is also possible that the company launches the new 2023 Chevy Silverado in the summer 2023.
