Will the upcoming 2023 Honda CRV remain one of the best compact crossover SUV? With the high level of competition from others, such as Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Santa Fe, it is difficult to say. The SUV may not be as competent as offroad vehicles, like Jeep Cherokee, but the all tire mechanism enables the ride to tackle all kinds of obstacles and road difficulties quite easily. So, what’s new about the upcoming model?
Features
The new CRV should be coming in 4 different trims: the EX, LX, EX-L, and the Touring. The base trim would be the LX having a rearview camera, auto single sector weather handling, cruise trip management, Bluetooth wireless online connection, manual change 6 way driver’s chair, and 5 inches monitor. This one would be coming with 2.4 liter capacity for the engine.
Exterior and Interior Designs
Space arrangement is one of the best features about the CRV. The arrangement of 60/40 car seats is even made easier with the easy retraction, especially for the rear side. Thanks to such a convenient arrangement, space management is made convenient and even pleasant. And the convenient arrangement doesn’t even compromise the cargo space and the seating space.
The details about the interior aren’t much to reveal, but Honda is expecting to refresh the look and vibe without affecting the space too much. If there are improvements to expect, it may be about the technologies and features. Space is already satisfying and convenient
For the exterior, there aren’t many details either. But it is possible that the rear side may not be as bulbous as before. With impressive floor clearance of 7.8 inches for the front wheel driving system, it’s safe to say that the new CRV may have promising outcome. The all tire feature may stay, and hopefully Honda doesn’t make any changes with it. Let’s just hope for the best result when it comes to the CRV.
Engine and Performance
As it was mentioned before, the base trim of 2023 Honda CRV will be coming with 4-tube of 2.4 liter capacity. For the higher trim, expect a 4-tube turbocharged engine with 1.5 liter capacity, delivering 190 hp of power and 179 Nm of torque.
This arrangement may seem quite satisfying, but it is still behind some of its competitors – as they offer higher power. But the turbo engine is claimed to be more effective, delivering smooth and controlled driving quality. And it is paired with auto CVT system for the extra boost of response. There is a possibility of top wheel or all wheel driving system with both engines, but the towing power would be limited to only 1,500 kilograms.
Release Date and Price
For the price, the new CRV may have a starting price from $25,500 for the basic LX trim. For the EX, it may start from around $28,300. Prices for other trims are still unknown. The release date is also unknown because there hasn’t been any official news about it. It is possible that the new 2023 Honda CRV may be launched in 2023 – whether in the middle or the early time frame.
