What to be expected from 2023 Cadillac Escalade? Well, the 2023 model would be the fifth generation of the line. Well, long time ago in the 90s, General Motors had installed Cadillac grille on their GMC Yukon – and you know what comes next. For the upcoming model, the company borrows Escalade concept for the upcoming model. There would be two engine options (inline six turbo diesel and V8 6.2 liter) with auto 10 speed transmission.
For the cabin, there would be OLED curved display on the dashboard along with other arrays of features and technologies designed for the job.
Redesigned Plans
For the new line, there would be new changes and updates that include better styling, better interior technologies, optional engine with diesel power, and independent power on rear suspension.
The starting price may be around $77,500 for the Luxury trim while the Premium Luxury would be $84,400. The sport trim would be $86,900, the Premium Luxury Platinum would be $101,300, and Sport Platinum would be $101,300.
Engine and Performance
There are 2 engine options available for this SUV. The first one would be the V8 engine with 6.2 liter capacity delivering 420 hp of power. It is able to deactivate half of the machine during cruising in order to save fuel.
The second one would be the inline six turbo diesel with 3.0 liter capacity. Both engines would be coming with standard auto 10 speed transmission. You have the options to either choose the rear wheel engine or the all wheel driving system.
This SUV will share the same all new platform with Chevy Suburb and Tahoe (as well as GMC Yukon) with independent rear suspension – designed to deliver smoother and better driving experience.
The higher trims will have adaptive dampers and air suspension using the shock absorbers with computer control.
Fuel Economy
The estimated fuel economy for new Escalade is lower, even though it is running on V8 6.2 liter capacity. The real wheel driving system, for instance, would have 15 mpg for the city and 20 mpg for the highway.
It may be different if you go with turbo diesel engine, but there hasn’t been any official release from the company. So, we will have to wait on that.
Cabin and Interior
For the inside, the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade is expected to have better luxurious features. The base Luxury trim may get faux leather, but others will get real and genuine leather.
The Platinum trim may even get semi-aniline soft hides. The upscale look would be obvious from the dashboard and door panels covered in leather. Expect to find adjustable ambient interior lighting as well as aluminum speaker grilles too.
The company is also offering the standard model as well as long wheelbase type. The long wheelbase type would have more space and legroom for those sitting on the third row – as well as providing extra space for the cargo. Improved comfort should be expected.
There hasn’t been any confirmation about the release date either. So, let’s wait for further notice about the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade.
